Vision Liberia 2027 Conference (Margibi County)

We conducted the second Vision Liberia 2027 Conference for three days, Thursday to Saturday, 29-31 October. We had a total of 130 persons in attendance, including facilitators. We had distinguished guests from government  ministries, local government and community leaders, church leaders and citizens from all over Margibi County.

Participants were grouped in eleven focus groups, each addressing a critical issue relative to Liberia's post war development needs. The 11 workshop sessions sought to achieve three key objectives:

  • Define the root causes of Liberia's underdevelopment at the national, community, family and individual levels
  • Define the impact of these root causes on the past and present condition of Liberia
  • Define the way forward with a vision for Liberia in the year 2027.

The first day of the Conference concentrated on the root causes Liberia's underdevelopment based on each of the critical issues identified. The second day concentrated on the consequences of the root causes identified, and on the third day we concentrated on the way forward.

God was once again faithful to provide the resources from the local community, attendees and our partners with us in the United States who have caught this vision and continue in prayer and financial support.

Praise the Lord!
