Vision Liberia 2027 Conferences

The Vision Liberia 2027 Conference is Liberia’s wake up call to the Church and community leaders to unite and mobilize their resources, skills and abilities for the restoration and rebuilding of Liberia.

Goal

The goal of the Vision Liberia 2027 conferences is to define the root causes of Liberia’s spiritual, political, economic, and social underdevelopment and set realistic and achievable goals for the holistic development of Liberia by 2027. This goal shall be realized through a series of three (3) day leadership development conferences with community leaders in a workshop/seminar format to facilitate discussions and the participation of a group of people, including youths, young adults, former combatants, women groups, civil servants, opinion and political leaders.

Strategy

The 15 counties of Liberia are divided up into seven (7) regions, and we have plans to conduct seven major regional Vision Liberia 2027 Conferences across the country.  The Vision Liberia 2027 Conference will comprise of about 300 delegates of all walks of life mentioned above. Following a Conference within a region, the results will be documented for inclusion in an overall report, and individual interest groups will be encouraged to continue discussion within their context and develop specific action plans relevant to individual group needs.  As a follow up, we plan to organize special workshop sessions for high school and college students at selected dates flexible with their school seasons.

  • What must we do to develop and qualify engineers (civil, electrical, electronic, marine, etc) by 2027?

Expected Outcome

  • The Christian community will be united around a common vision for the reconstruction of post-conflict Liberia
  • Individual Christians will be motivated to live a more dedicated and committed life characterized by honesty, accountability, integrity and credibility
  • The purpose for the Church’s existence in contemporary Liberia will be clarified
  • The unity of the Church will be deepened and the spirit of National consciousness and patriotism will be created
